    Kate began her career in scientific research, working on spinal cord and brain injuries at the University of Cambridge, then took the leap into marketing communications twenty years ago.

    Since then, she has worked in small and large agencies, combining her love of science and innovation with communication skills and analytical thinking to lead B2B brand strategy and marketing communications campaigns for multinational organizations.

    She set up her own agency, Notch, in 2011 to focus on marketing for science companies; the agency has now grown to around 40 people.

    The agency offers a unique mix of marketers and scientists who share a common purpose: to differentiate their clients' brands and bring their exciting technologies to life.

    At Hotel Chocolat, Lynne leads the marketing function in the UK, covering all aspects of the marketing mix including NPD and category management, brand strategy, advertising, digital performance marketing, retail marketing, CRM, loyalty and PR. She has successfully grown the brand for five consecutive years. In addition, she leads the direct to consumer digital business in the US. She is also one of the senior business leads on the gentle farming programme for cacao farmers based on nature positive techniques developed on the business’ own model cacao farm in Saint Lucia.

    Lynne is passionate about developing future marketing talent having launched a marketing skills programme at BT and has established a Marketing Growth Programme at Hotel Chocolat.
